After hosting this evening’s TakeOut Comedy club show at the Hong Kong Microfest, my friend Andrew, my couchsurfer Nine and I were walking towards the tram in Wan Chai when we encountered quite the spectacle. The Metro Park Hotel was quarantined off for a potential Swine Flu case.
Having recorded the comedy show, I pulled out my video camera and have snapped some footage from the scene. It’s available below in a short unedited piece.
It appears 300 people from the hotel have been quarantined because a Mexican man was had flu-like symptoms. More info from the sources below, which appear to confirm that Hong Kong has now officially recorded its first swine flu case with this incident.
